Title: LLMs in Mental Well-Being Research and Practice
Abstract: This presentation brings together three studies on the use of conversational AI in mental well-being research and practice. First, I will present a completed computational study examining how prompt design and model choice shape LLM outputs. Second, I will describe ongoing work exploring how AI influences high-school students as they reflect on their futures. Last, I will outline an upcoming collaboration with ASPIRE-MWI, investigating how multi-agent systems can support daily reflective journaling.
Bio: My name is Helena Bøjer Djernæs, and I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Human-Augmentation and Collaboration Group at Aalborg University. My research focuses on the role of AI in youth mental well-being, examining how conversational AI shapes developmental processes and how it can be designed to support reflection during pivotal stages of life.
